Overview
The Little Thesis ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors, especially children and families. This website is a static educational resource. Browsing it gives us nothing: we do not collect, receive, or process personal data about you. The only way we ever learn anything about you is if you choose to email us.

How the Site Works
The Little Thesis is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit, your browser requests pages directly from the hosting provider, and no application code runs on our behalf to identify you, profile you, or follow you across the web. Pages you view, coloring pages you print, and articles you read stay between you and your browser. The one exception is the optional Google button on blog articles, described below; everywhere else on the site, nothing you do is visible to anyone but you. GitHub, as our hosting provider, may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes; you can read more in GitHub's own privacy documentation.
Third-Party Services
Our fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so simply reading a page sends nothing to anyone but our host. Apart from the optional Google feature described next, this site uses no third-party services, advertising networks, or social media trackers at all.
On blog articles only, we may show a dialog inviting you to add The Little Thesis as a “preferred source” on Google. It appears once, after you have been reading for a while. The Google code that draws the button is only requested if and when that dialog appears, never on page load and never anywhere else on the site. Using the button is entirely optional, and it tells us nothing. Google’s own code stores a small amount of data in your browser’s session storage while you are on the page, and loads the Google logo from Google’s servers.
So that we do not ask you twice, your browser stores one value on your own device: the date you last saw the dialog, rounded to the day. It is not a cookie and is never sent to any server. It stops having any effect after 30 days, and is erased the next time you visit a blog article after that. You can also clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Children's Privacy
This website is made for families with young children, so we hold ourselves to the strictest standard. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13, and because the site has no forms, accounts, comments, or chat features, there is no mechanism through which a child could submit personal information to us in the first place. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly. The Google “preferred source” dialog described above is limited to blog articles, which are written for the parents, teachers, and librarians who choose our books. It never appears on the coloring pages, story pages, or character pages, and it asks for nothing and collects nothing either way.
If you choose to email us at angel@subthesis.com, we will see your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your address, or retain your message longer than needed to help you.
How Long We Keep Things
We hold nothing from your visit, so there is nothing for us to keep. The only piece of information involved is the date described above, and it lives in your own browser rather than with us. Emails you send us are kept only as long as it takes to answer you.
Visitors Outside the United States
We operate from the United States and this site is written for a United States audience, but anyone is welcome to read it. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or anywhere with similar privacy laws, the rights those laws give you are easy to satisfy here: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, export, or erase, and nothing to object to. If you would like that confirmed in writing, email us and we will confirm it.
California Residents
We have never sold or shared personal information, and we do not have any to sell or share. We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not profile you.
External Links
This site contains links to external websites, including Subthesis.com, Amazon (where our book is sold), Google (if you use the preferred source button), and educational standards organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices ever change, for example if we add analytics or an email newsletter, we will update this page and change the date at the top no later than the moment the new practice goes live, so this page is never behind what the site actually does.
